deadbeat - version immersion

Dub. Claustrofóbico. Denso. Perfeitamente dançável. A Boomkat explica melhor.

"Deadbeat's Scott Monteith seems to have gotten his obsession with fuzzed-out Berlin-style dubism out of his system just as it's seen a new surge of activity emanating from many of its Basic-Channel affiliated protagonists. "Version Immersion" is by far and away the least claustraphobic and dub immersed release across his catalogue, instead opting for a more open configuration taking in House signatures more commonly associated with Cologne than with the smoked-out producers hanging out at Berlin's Hardwax listening to old Black Art 7"s. Rotating around a dense snap-clap motif, there's still a dancehall spirit guiding these tracks, its just harder to recognise under layers of glitter and percussive makeup. The result is a bit of a revalation, and a welcome change from an artist who was begining to go over familiar territory on his last couple of releases. Good twelve."
